Ride Planner is a simple tool for estimating ride time, wind/weather exposure, and calorie/fluid needs from a route and a rider profile. This page explains what data the app touches and why.
This data is used only to compute the ride estimate you asked for. It's held in server memory for up to 10 minutes (so the preview and the downloaded PDF match), then discarded. Ride Planner has no user accounts and does not save a history of your rides or profiles.
Your rider profile (weight, height, FTP, etc. -- not the route) is saved in your browser's local storage so the form is pre-filled next time you visit. This stays on your device; it is not transmitted anywhere as tracking, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your IP address is used briefly to rate-limit requests (to keep the free weather/route APIs usable for everyone) and appears in standard server request logs. It isn't linked to any account, since there are none, and isn't used for tracking beyond that.
Ride Planner is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If what the app collects or how it's used changes meaningfully, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date.
