Ocean to Bay Bike Tour
Ocean to Bay Bike Tour is a century-distance ride in Bethany Beach, Delaware, scheduled for April 23, 2027, covering roughly 100 miles.
About riding in Delaware
Delaware is flat and compact, with quiet rural roads and coastal routes near the Atlantic beaches. Wind off the water is often the main challenge rather than hills. Spring and fall are the most comfortable seasons.
Estimated finish times
The route is about 100 miles. Here is the moving time at a steady average speed. It is a flat-ground baseline: climbing, wind, stops at aid stations and group riding all move the real number, so treat it as a starting range.
| Average speed | Moving time |
|---|---|
| 10 mph | 10h 00m |
| 12 mph | 8h 20m |
| 14 mph | 7h 09m |
| 16 mph | 6h 15m |
| 18 mph | 5h 33m |
Most recreational riders average 12–16 mph on rolling terrain in a group, and less on hilly routes.
